About Neem Capsules

The neem tree, (Azadirachta indica), is a rapidly-growing tree whose leaves are exploited for a range of uses. Other popular terminologies used to refer to the tree include Indian lilac, nim, nimba and margosa. The tree is also referred to as neemba in Sanskrit. The term neem is hence extracted from neemba which means proper health and well-being. The neem tree is in the same family as mahogany and is also quite popular as a reliable source of timber. Compared to other trees, the tree has a faster growth rate. The leaves of the neem tree, are the most important plant part. They are available and can be collected all year round. The seeds from the tree also contain a sizeable amount of phytonutrients. The leaves and seeds are also used to obtain neem oil, which is used for various purposes. Other useful parts of the tree include fruits, flowers, roots, and barks. The green neem leaves have sharp serrated edges with a pointed shape. Others have an irregular shape. They have a smooth feel and appear shiny on the eye. The leaves could be boiled, crushed, and used to make a paste or blended and used in their raw form. The extract from the leaves has a bitter taste. It is therefore used sparingly in different capacities. Most people add honey to try and subdue the bitter taste.

Apart from India, the neem tree also grows quite rapidly in other countries in the South Asian subcontinent. These include Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Malaysia. In the recent past, the popularity of neem plant has caught on and it is cultivated in some parts of South and Central America, and Africa. The neem tree thrives in tropical and sub-tropical climates. It prefers temperatures of between 40-50°C. Temperatures lesser than 20°C cause the leaves of the tree to fall off. The leaves hence lose their potency and vitality. The neem tree does well in well-drained soils that hardly hold water. Also, the tree grows well in low altitudes with enough sunlight, preferably at elevations of 1000m below sea level.

The earliest writings on the use of the neem tree are traced back to India. The tree has been in use for over 5000 years. The tree is highly revered in the Hindu religion and the Indian culture as a whole. It forms part of numerous cultural ceremonies. One of the popular narratives in the Hindu religion was, one was expected to plant at least three neem trees in their lifetime. This would guarantee them an afterlife once they left earth. The leaves from the tree were also made into ornaments which were then used in various rituals and religious ceremonies e.g. weddings, the dedication of newborns, etc. Also, traditionally, people applied it on their skin so that it would keep away insects and pests from their livestock. Also, crates that were used to collect food after it had been harvested were lined with the leaves. This was meant to keep away pests as well. Also, some people crushed the leaves and put the paste in their bathing water. This was specially done for toddlers. Additionally, the tree was revered for its wide shade. Community members gathered under its shade where they listened to tales from elders and other prominent persons in the society.

Items never arrived- owner refused to refund

Please do not buy from here. Long story short, I ordered two packs of Neem Capsules on separate orders, they never arrived, I emailed and asked for a refund multiple times, my emails were ignored. I lost around £23 to the imbecile that is running this company. Usually I am careful to check that it’s not a drop shipping operation being run, but I did not notice this time, Daniel will simply refuse to acknowledge your requests for a refund via email, and likely blame it on Royal Mail.
